I'm pretty sure I will need an update for this BIOS to get a 60GB to work, but sofar have been unable to find almost anything.
The manufacturer of the MB is GTC (Global Circuit Technology) later known as Supertek; their website http://www.gcttech.com seems to be dead for a while already.

This is a GCT-5IT mainbord (intel Triton chipset), and has an Award v4.51PG bios

Any help or tips are highly appreciated

Edit: I found a bios for the Chaintech 5ttm1 in the patched bios section, which actually has same model and type in the id string (2A59IC3AC); would it be possible to use that one?

Do not use Chaintech BIOS on your board. I'll see what I have in my BIOS archive @home.

Thanks, that would be great.

By the way: I just checked and found that the current bios can handle drives up to 32GB. If you can't find a more recent bios, would it be possible to patch this one?

I have extracted the original bios and uploaded it here: http://www.crisp.demon.nl/bin/GCT5IT.zip
If anyone can patch this one It would be greatly appreciated :)

If you're desperate, that old BIOS is now at the link in my signature, patched, but check back here later to see if there's a later one which Rainbow or anyone else can turn up.

Yep, there's a beta:

(2a59ig9a) EVALUATION ROM - NOT FOR SALE

now patched and there as well.

I was getting kinda desperate (overlay program was giving me errors and such), so I tried the first patch you made while keeping my fingers crossed.... it's working! :)
I'll try the beta next; keep you posted!

Edit: I'm getting a bootblock mismatch on the beta; if you don't mind I'll stick with the patched original which seems to work just fine :)

OK.....I'll leave it to Rainbow to decide which (if any) makes it to the tested BIOS page. Thanks for the feedback.

Judging from the date and the name of the last available bios (5it0325.bin - found this name using the way back machine :) ), i'd say this is probably the last official bios released for this board.
I wonder if it supports disk larger than 32GB though...

Of course does not - needs patching.

Figures since it's still old :)
I'll stick with the version NickS patched for me though; works great for me and "if it ain't broken..."
Would be nice anyway if you can put it online somewhere (patched offcourse); could save other people a lot of time searching.
I do appreciate your efforts very much; you guys do a lot of good work over here :)
