Could somebody please patch this Bios to support my new 120GB HD?
My MB is ENPC KB21P with bios v2.6

I have a 40GB HD in use. But when I installed the new 120GB HD, MB just can't detect it. I use "BIOS Patcher" found at
http://rom.by/articles/BP/index_english.htm and it works. Thanks to its author.
I still have some quetions about bios. How to find if a bios image file can support large HD without flashing it into EEPROM? I heard that bios ID is unique, and if Bios ID matches, no matter which version it is, I can flash that bios image file to my MB. Is that correct?

By looking for certain code sequences within the BIOS, which are searched for by both apple_rom's patcher (which you used) and Rainbow's patcher (which the moderators here use).

In theory, yes. In practice, no.
First, the BIOS ID is not always unique. Some manufacturers used the same BIOS ID for boards which are similar but not quite the same - Version 1 PCB and Version 2 PCB may havbe the same BIOS ID but need a different BIOS file.
Second, different BIOS IDs may have been used for the same board. Some manufacturers changed the ID when they changed the version of BIOS, which makes things confusing.
Did you download the version 2.6 from the website and find that it did not support 120 GB ? or was version 2.6 already on your machine ?

I found that I made a mistake. My original bios is working for 120GB HD. When I installed the HD the first time, I didn'tinstalled properly. Of course it would not be detected.
