This BIOS is indeed limited to 32GB but I've send a patched version to your e-mail address.

The bios works fine on a 40gb maxtor other than you must go through IDE autodetection and save out the parameters, setting Auto/Auto in the bios renders the drive semi-unbootable with grub.
