BIOS Updates forum

Dear Forum Members,

Hello.

Does anybody know if there is an update available for my BIOS:

03/29/1999-i440LX-W977-2A69JG0FC-00

I´ve been trying to make my computer recognize a new 60GB for some days now. My attempts included the first modification suggest by Petr Soucek in http://www.ryston.cz/petr/bios/ga586hx_mod.html (excellent page, by the way).

After I patched my BIOS, my computer continued to freeze every time I tried to make it recognize the 60GB hard drive, although it still works fine with a 13GB one.

I also looked for an update from GigaByte, but with no success.

I would appreciate any help.

I already received an appropriate update by a very helpful person.

My computer now recognizes the new HD!!!

Trying to solve the problem was very good. I learned a lot about BIOS these days. And anyone who wants to learn about AWARD should start with the softwares by Petr Soucek(http://www.ryston.cz/petr/bios/award.html). This guy is great!
