Hi, the following problem should be well-known!

I have PII 333MHz with a Chaintech 6LTM2.
First, I tried the official Upgrades. But they didn't solve my problem.
Then I tried the Patch, but it didn't solve my 32GB-problem, too!

It would be a great help, if anybody could tell me how I get the rest of my 80GB!

Thanks a lot!!

6LTM2 Bios is already patched up to 128GB

Did you remove the 32GB limitation clip on your HDD ?
You may need a newer version of Fdisk if you have Win98/SE

I use XFdisk it works with all formats from FAT16 up to NTFS.
But could you tell me a bit more about the 32gb limitation clip?
Where can I find it and how is it usually to change?

Thanks a lot!

The clip/jumper should be near the master/slave jumpers on your HDD

Check the HDD documentation you have or get it from the manufacturer website or look for the usually onto the HDD printed jumpersettings

I found the clip, but now I have a new problem. Although I installed all Bios Upgrades including the one from this site, my Bios isn't able to detect the whole disk. I tried to reach something with the IBM Feacher Tool. The strange thing is: This Tool detects my hard disk correctly with full space, without the 32gb clip. But when I restart Bios isn't able to find the disk again. I tried participating directly after leaving the tool and fdisk reports that there is no disk installed.
What can I do?

Thanks!

To confirm that the BIOS is installed OK, do you get the message HW.27.10(QHW.10.01) patched for 128GB HDD by Wim's team ?
When you run the feature tool, are the "reported size" and "native size" the same ?
