I have this problem with this old Jamicon motherboard in that it won't detect large hard drives.

The Jamicon web site is NO help, so im just wondering if anybody knows where i can get hold of a BIOS update to sort this problem

I found the below between the PCI slots
642L Rev 1.1

And this on bootup
i440LX-2A69J001C-00

What's the FULL BIOS ID string (including the date)?

thank you soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo very very much, my hard drive is now detected and everything works, even power saving.

There are known bugs in some of Award's 4.50 and 4.51 BIOSes relating to the size detection and display of HDDs over 32GiB and/or over 64GiB in size. We used to patch these bugs by hand until Rainbow wrote a utility which automates the patching.
