Generally (or in your case admirall-ly, arf arf) the latest one which suits your board. That will be the one at the top of the list, p6lxa40.exe.

This appears to want to be downloaded by ftp which your firewall may or may not allow. Mine at work does not so I can't tell you much more at present.

I've downloaded some of the BIOSes - the v4.0 is very old 8O The 2.5a seems to be most recent:
08/24/1998-i440LX-P6LX-A-00
P6LX-A Ver 2.5a 01/29/1999
However, it still has the 32GB bug. We can patch this BIOS.

So, when i've successfully downloaded the BIOS 2.5a how do i do the patch thing?

I guess the main question is - can i download from one computer and install into another. (i'm actually upgrading my classroom) I will have to do this proceedure on 10 computers. And then run the patch I need.

By the way - thanks for all the help! :D

Are you putting new drives in these 10 machines ?
To flash a new BIOS, follow the instructions on the motherboard manufacturer's website - see http://www.ecs.com.tw/download/bios_m.htm and follow "How to use Award flash utility". You'll need to download the flash utility aflash77.exe from the same page as you downloaded the BIOS.

@stephanie: In case it's not clear, you don't have to do the patching. Rainbow has taken the BIOS, applied the patch and sent the resulting BIOS image - just flash it in the same way as you would any other BIOS.
