Hello
I have the same question as Sergio who posted on 21 January2003...
NickS said that the latest BIOS for the M6TBE was TBE0719 and does not support HDD > 32Gb.
He also mentionned a patched "untested" version on the wimsbios site.
Unfortunately the topic does not mention the end of the story !
Was the test successfull or somebody else succesfully tested it ?
Is there any new version from Biostar that would support HDD > 32Gb ?
Many thanks if you can update me on that topic.

In an email Sergio said he could not flash his BIOS (his BIOS info did not change). The original thread was
here.
The latest BIOS is still
tbe0719b and does not support HDD >32GB.
The patched version is at the "untested" link in my signature.

I tried to flash with the biostar tbe0719b accordingly with the guideline in the readme.txt.
It goes to the end, but when I reboot I get no signal on my screen.
What goes wrong ?
I keep a backup of the old bios during the flash.
How can I restore from this backup ?

Did you clear CMOS after the BIOS flash ? (remember to disconnect mains power while doing this)

Yes I did...
1 - I ran the awdflash program with the /CC option
2 - I removed the jumper from the motherboard
My ideas are :
1 - To re-install the original video card (the current one is an AGP card)
2 - To restore the old bios using awdflash in an autoexec.bat

If the diskette is accessed at boot time, that is worth trying; but if flashing the manufacturer's BIOS did not work, perhaps there is a problem with the chip. Did you get any warning messages e.g boot block mismatch ?
Which was your original BIOS ?

Thanks a lot NickS for your help.
I dont get any error message during the update, it goes to the end and ask me for Reset (F1) or Exit(F10), I choose "Reset".
I tried to restore, but unfortunately it does not access the diskette at boot time.
I also tried with the original video card but whitout success.
The old bios was a Biostar M6TBE version from 14/10/1998.
I dont know what to do at this time, except to find someone for reprogramming the chipset.

Can you email me a zipped copy of your original BIOS, just to confirm exactly what it was ?

Well, that certainly looks like an M6TBE BIOS. It appears that your options now are hotflash or replacement Bios chip/motherboard.
What version of AWDFLASH did you use ?
