160GB : Toshiba Satellite

I have bought a new 160 gig internal hard drive and put it in a third party enclosure and hooked up to my usb 1.1 toshiba satellite laptop. It is showing only 32 gig.
can anyone help ?

Make sure your HDD is not limited by a 32GB jumper or a setting in it's firmware
