Just bought a 4o GB harddisk before I found out that my motherboard would have problems recognizing it.
Following the information of the Bios detect:
Program: eSupport.com BIOS Detect v1.2 July 21, 2003
BIOS Date: 05/11/99
BIOS Type: Award Modular BIOS v4.51PG
BIOS ID: 05/11/1999-i440BX-ED-2A69KD4FC-00
OEM Sign-On:
Chipset: Intel 440BX/ZX rev 3
Superio: Winbond 977EF rev 4 found at port 3F0h
CPU Type: Pentium II
CPU Speed: 400 Mhz
CPU Max: 400 Mhz
BIOS ROM In Socket: Yes
BIOS ROM Size: 256K
Memory Installed: 256 MB
Memory Maximum: 768 MB
OS Dos and Linux
According to the information on the motherboard and confirmed by the manual my board is a PB50-BX. The manual says it is a rev AB+, the motherboard reads rev A only.
Found the Itox an DFI sites not helpful and did not find anything that could be of help.
Would a update also update the USB version?
