I have successfully flashed my bios but still, the WD 80 gig harddrive is not being recognized.

I have a BCM/GVC FR510 (PB 930/950) motherboard with Award 4.51pg bios. The bios ID string is 09/03/1998-Aladdin5-2A5KKG5DC-00.
I have downloaded the only bios that I can find from http://www.scc.nm.ru/b_files.htm

After flash the bios string now reads 11/27/2002-Aladdin5-2A5KKG5DC-00, but still does not find the hd.

Anyone else have any luck with this bios flash?

That BIOS will support just about anything. Some WD HDDs are hard to autodetect, so just type in the HDD parameters manually in BIOS.
