Hi, I have a MSI 6140 that prior to flashing with the AWD64GB patched bios at http://wims.rainbow-software.org/index. ... 0&count=40 reported this:

BIOS Date: 09/14/98
BIOS Type: Award Modular BIOS v4.51PG
BIOS ID: 09/14/1998-i440EX-W977-2A69JM49C-00
OEM Sign-On: VMP 1.0B4 * MSI MS-6140
Chipset: Intel 440EX/LX rev 3
Superio: Winbond 977TF rev 0 found at port 3F0h
CPU Type: Pentium II
CPU Speed: 300 Mhz
CPU Max: 333 Mhz
BIOS ROM In Socket: Yes
BIOS ROM Size: 256K
Memory Installed: 160 MB
Memory Maximum: 64 MB

I've flashed the modded bios, but (as it happened to me with other mainboard, and ajzchips patched it using another utility) AWD64GB patched BIOS recognises the hard disk (Seagate 40Gb) fine, however when entering Bios setup, General setup, it hangs.

That's a known bug in "some" BIOSes patched with Rainbow's utility.
I've downloaded a fresh copy of the BIOS from:
http://ftp.maxdata.de/t_index.asp?info= ... ds/MS-6140

...and patched it using BP's patcher.
I uploaded it here:
http://wims.rainbow-software.org/ajz/

Please don't forget to report results.

ouch! I didn't receive any notification for your post by email!

It's flashed and it doesn't hang at bios setup.

Muchas gracias!! :)
