Hello,

my bios does not recognize the new hard drive with 80GB. Is it possible to update and where can I get the tools to do.

Best regards
Gustel

Rainbow has patched this for 40GB HDD (see here) but apparently had no feedback. It is so helpful when we get feedback.

Edwin has patched this BIOS for 128GB but it is untested.
Look in http://wims.rainbow-software.org/edwin/ for (Procomp B785ZX).zip

Yep. Text file adjusted accordingly, it should show up on the main page pretty soon.

I have the same board (or at least the same BIOS):

Bios: B785Z V:1.1
03/19/1999-i440ZX-ALI513-2A69KPNHC-00
Tried this one:

But it does not help.
HD is Samsung 120GB, which ran fine on a newer PC for a while.
Now it runs in the old one with the abovementioned BIOS and only 32 GB are usable (only 32 GB accessible by WIN98 fdisk and Partition magic 8.0).

Any help?
Thanks!

Check the hard drive for a 32GB limiting jumper.
