120GB: Asus P2B

Hello,

I have a Samsung 120GB hard disk but he is not recognized bij my BIOS. :(


My BIOS:
Asus Award modular BIOS v4.51pg
i440BX -<<P2B>>

i can't find a upgrade for a award BIOS.
Now i have installed the last BETA version of asus P2B (1014.003)
But my hard disk is also not recognized :(

Can you help me? Thanks!

The latest Beta should support HDD up to 120GB.
Make sure the Master/Slave/CS jumpers are set according to the position on the IDE cable.
Make sure the IDE cable is functioning - maybe try a different, known good cable.

Do you hear the drive spinning up on boot ?

yes!
He is working now! :) but not for the full size (120GB) only 32GB.
The hard disk is now Master (i don't know what cable select is, i can try it)

I have al ready read some topics about this problem. But i found no answer.
I hope you can help me, anyway, Thanks!

Sounds like the 32Gb limitation clip is still present - check HDD jumper table or documentation where it resides and remove him. Sometimes jumpersetting noted as alternative capacity

No is already cut off. But Thanks.


And i have try hutil from Samsung, but i can't find the Recover Native Size in the current version, and the old version is away from the internet. (i hope you understand me)

Also i have try hdat2(SET MAX ADDRESS) but this gives a error: setting failed
