No way to patch this Bios that high. Maximum native support is 128GB. If you have W2K/XP with latest SP or Linux then all above should be supported by OS

I have update the BIOS to support 128GB HD and I have had install a 80GB HD on my computer.
But the BIOS could not recognize my 200G Maxtor HD even not recognize as a 128GB HD. The auto detect process hung up.
I try to set jumper to limit the driver capacity to 32GB, the BIOS could recognized it.
If I install a linux 2.6 on the 32GB space, whether the linux could see all the space of my new 200G Maxtor HD when the linux 2.6 system boot up?

Yep - all noted OS should be able to use the area above 32GB. Is there a special option to limit this drive to 128GB ?

oh, yeah!
I have installed a Suse 9.3 Linux on my 200G HD.
Now I could see all my 200GB space ~ thanks!
There is not a option to limit this driver to 128GB, only a jumper to limit this driver to 32GB. If I did not set the jumper to limit this driver to 32GB, the BIOS could not detected it and the auto detecting processing hung up.
finally, the problem have resolved, thanks !
