Hello :D

I got a question. I want to by a new 250 GB SATA HD. But my computer is a litte bit old (4-5 years), so i want to know if my bios will detect the harddrive. Because my computer is so old, I want to connect the HD with a PCi-card. So I connect the drive to the pci-card and the pci-card in my computer. Will this be possible without having trouble?

Motherbord: MS-6323
and i'm running winxp Pro with SP2

and sorry for my (bad) english

The PCI SATa controller card should have its own Bios and should support big HDD. The mainboard Bios is not involved in HDD detection then.

So this means that I won't get any trouble with installing a big HD on a old computer?

As long as the additional PCI controller supports them all is fine.
