I've got the same kind of problem as JC Soulet. I'd like to add a IBM 40GB hard disk and the bios hangs during the auto-detect !

:?: Does someone have a patch for this ?

The characteristics of my bios and motherboard are :

My Bios is Award Modular BIOS v4.51PG
Bios ID 06/23/98-ALI-154x-2A5KIB09C-00
Bios Date 06 23 1998
Bios OEM signon ATC0623B
Chipset ALI M5ATC rev 1.1

Hello Guys!

I want to set up low-power Server. Therefore i have to use an old MoBo. In my case this is also a M5ATC Rev. 1

I wanna use 2 big HDD: 80 GB Western Digital and 120GB Seagate
The WD should hold the System but is not recognized. Furthermore the HDD is not capable "to fake" to be <32GB.

At http://wims.rainbow-software.org/ the bios is said to support 64GB. But is there a newer Version available?

Thanks for any Information in advance

I'm afraid it is not a trivial task to fix the BIOS for 128GiB, though apple_rom's "bp" may do the job.
