my bios just hangs when I try to autodetect it can anyone help

Please verify your Bios-ID is correct - it looks like there's an error. If possible post the full ID with the OEM signon/message. Use CTBIOS or Bios Agent to show this. OR open your case and have a look at the board itself - maybe there's a modle number printed onto it.
