IDE / SATA BIOS boot issue.

System is set up as follows….
ASUS M2N-e mainboard with latest bios and drivers.
IDE MASTER = IDE 80gb HARD DISK with OS on it
IDE SLAVE = CDROM
SATA Slot 1 = 160gb Storage/data drive.
BIOS boot order is 1) HD, 2) CDROM, 3)REMOVEABLE 4) DISABLED
I’m having problems with a slow boot at the bios stage but often it fails to find the primary IDE and therefore the OS. If I remove the IDE CDROM and the SATA storage drive it boots perfectly from the IDE HD. Jumpers on IDE devices are correct. This leads me to believe that the BIOS isnt set up correct. I THINK its trying to boot from the SATA drive. I can see an option in the BIOS to change
Pleeeeease help me
Thx
