when edwin said you should take a look at your board, he meant that you should actually LOOK at your board. there's a pcb revision printed somewhere on the mainboard. you have to read it with your eyes, e.g. the analog way ;)

Every ECS motherboard should be clearly marekd with a model number. Usually it's printed onto the board somewhere between the PCI or ISA slots. The Revision number should be located behind the model numer.

check the corners of the board, too. on many pcchips boards the revision number is printed in the upper left corner of the board with the i/o connectors facing away from you. they usually use small letters to make it even harder finding it :(

rev 1.0 boards sometimes have no version marking at all. If no 5.2 marking anywhere it's the 1.0
