Hello there, I recently got an extra 400GB HDD for a friends PC but it only formats to around 32GB.
I ran the AMIBIOS Motherboard Identification Utility and got the following results:

Is there any way to get it to the 137GB mark and if so am i able to utilize the entire 400GB by partitioning?

no fixes for AMIBIOSes..but if you're using Windows XP SP2/2000 SP4 or Linux you can get around the BIOS limitation fairly easy. Please read the sticky note in this subsection.

Please verify that you really have thios board installed in your PC. Gigabyte boards should be clearly marked with a model number, usually between the PCI slots.

also your HDD may be jumpered to 32GB, check the manufacturer documentation how to remove this clip and to see at least 128GB. All above is available with OS (W2K/XP with latest servicepacks, newer Windoze OS without problems as well as a somewhat recent Linux)

Thanks guys, stupid me setting to 32g limit without fully reading the documentation properly. I set the hard drive to slave due to it not booting and this seems to be the cause of my problems

Ive just fixed the jumper settings on the hard drive, it is detected in the bios but now the system drive is not detected. Any suggestions?
The only way i got the 2 drives going at once was to set to slave which capped me at 32GB

It sounds to me like something is not jumpered properly.

Please verify both HDD jumper settings.
