No AMD virtualization menu on award bios

Hello,
I've got Acer Aspire L5100, with AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4400+ (AM2 socket). One of it's features is AMD-V (virtualization hardware support).
My operating system (linux, kernel 2.6.27-9) perfectly recognizes the cpu and it's capabilities but when I try to actually activate the virtualization support it fails, saying "Disabled by BIOS". I checked all BIOS menus and there is no such option.
The BIOS is AwardBios, version R01-B0. "System version:" 6.00. This is the latest from acer web-site. I also contacted the customer support and they didn't help.
Can anyone help me? I just need a way to enable it somehow. I saw a method enabling sony's notebooks with intel virutalization, using symcmos tool, but no guide for amd with my bios.
Thank You.
