You may want to try upgrading your BIOS: ftp://ftp.pcchips.com.tw

Which Bios for M758lmr?

It is a good reply. But which Bios shoud we use?
For sis630 or sis630e?
Pc-chips made this motherboard with both chips. And Bios after
some period of time was switched from M758lmr to M758lmre.
What will happend if I install wrong Bios?

On Motherboard is written: M758lmr rev. 1.6
At start up:
Megatrends AMI BIOS (C)1999
 Release 06/15/2000S
62-0615-009999-0010111-071595-000000-M758LMR-H

Thank you very much!

I'm almost 100% convinced that the SiS630e BIOS release is backward-compatible with the SiS630 version of the board. They must have separated the 630 and the 630e folders because the 630 BIOS isn't forward-compatible with the 630e versions.

So I can try to use Relesae bios
Filename :010510s.rom
Checksum :FD26h
Release date :2001/05/10
ECN :J450162

It looks to be the last one. I am afraid to do that because there is
no PC service around. And in case of unsuccessful upgrade I will need to
repaire everything by myself. Or order the new motherbord

Anyway thank you for support.

There's a mid-2002 release too.

On www.amptron.com there is no new one. And on www.pcchips.com.tw
bios archives does not containe RELEASE.TXT file. So it is hard to
understand for which motherboard is this bios. Also their ftp looks like
madhouse now.
