I have a PCI600-F and I just bought a PIII 700 for it, I know the BX chipset can run it, its a Coppermine 100mhz so thats not an issue and the bios says 700, just wont go back the CPU id string. Is there a bios to update mine with, my bios is 1.2 and I cant find anything on Jbond board.

Make sure the file you downloaded has 262144 bytes, if not it's damaged and may cause a dead board.

early 440BX boards were limited to P2-450 because of the onboard regulators. Not all boards run a P3-700 without problems...
