Is my CPU underclocked?

I have a M810LR & when I purchased it (from a PriceWatch vendor years ago). I was supposed to have recieved a 1.5Ghz processor. Instead, the bios splash screen lists it as 1050. I was researching other problems & found that there may be settings on the mother board that are essentially underclocking my processor (& here I was badmouthing that vendor for so long).

Does anyone have any information that could shed some light on the situation or have a good direction to point me in?

An AMIBIOS ID String Was Detected:
62-0808-001131-00101111-071595-SiS730S
AMIBIOS Build Tag: M810LR

Thanks a bunch,
Chaz

The Athlon rating number do not have anything to do with the actual numbers of MHz. However, it seems you're running it at 100MHz (200 FSB) instead of 133MHz (266 FSB). I think you can also find this on the radel page I gave you for your vbios question.

Thanks for the quick reply.
I'll check into it.
It should be a 1.4Ghz because that's the exact way it was advertised...not AMD 14000. The bios splash says 1050Mhz.

Thanks again,
This is a great forum...I just found it tonight!

10.5 x 100 = 1050MHz
10.5 x 133 = 1400MHz -> 1.4GHz

as suspected the FSB is set wrong. This can also be due to using PC100 memory or low-quality PC133 memory that cannot be run at 133MHz.
