Video 1680 x 1050 Bios issue [WIMSBIOS]

I have an older MSI Mega PC 651 with an MS-6760 motherboard and a BenQ FP202W wide screen monitor. I tried to locate a new video bios for it to support 1680 x 1050 resolution as I am presently operating on the SIS 650 version 1.1?? MSI has no support on this matter on their site and I ran the net AWARD Bios routine from the AWARD update site and have not heard anything back. It does print out a Bios status though.

BIOS Type: Phoenix Award
BIOS Date: Sept 4, 2003
BIOS ID: 09/04/2003-SiS-651-6A6IXM4QC-00-None
BIOS OEM: W6760SMS V1.1 090403 12:40:26 - 6.00 PG
Motherboard: MS-6760

I looked at the patched Bios page and there doesn't appear to have one for this board. Can anyone suggest where I can get an update or patched Bios for this system?

Thanks,

AM

Hey CP,

Thanks for the upgrade, but I have not been able to flash it yet as I don't have a floppy drive on this box, only USB and CD burner.

I will check around for a solution and let you know how things turn out.

Hi amtubman,

if you need a newer bios for MSI 651 (v1.2b) with vbios 2.30.01 please contact me - if this is still actual.

BIOS from download page is not correct.
I've tried to upgrade my MEGA 651, but after it computer does not boot at all.
After BIOS cleaning by dip when power is up IGP ss not activated, motherboard makes some beeps and start recovery boot from FDD.
(Mega PC has FDD connector on motherboard and I was forced to connect FDD to restore old BIOS)
