this is a VIA cle266 mb,with a VIA/S3G UNICHROME IGP.
it doesnot support 1440X900 under windows xp.

this is the mb:

did you install the latest drivers? as far as widescreen issues are concerned only SIS vgas show this weird behaviour regarding video bios versions.

BUT it do not support 1440X900 widescreen mode!
