bios update asus L3000D / sis 650 / widescreen 1680X1050

HELLO,
I am using Asus notebook L3000D.
My main LCD screen is brocken and i wanna use a samsung 223BW.
The 223BW is a 21,6 inch widescreen with a preferent resulotion of 1680x1050.
PROBLEMS IS
I can not update Video Bios. (current version is 1.15 and I need it to be 2.28 or later according to http://www.sis.com/support/support_faqs_4.htm)
ASUS BIOS update does not support this update.
can anyone please help me?
