hi all
i've got a friend, who has a GA-8SIMLH-P (Rev 4.0) motherboard, and recently she got her a new 22' widescreen, in order to get resolution 1680x1050 i helped her update the bios to FH which is the most recent one. but the vbios doesnt get updated to 2.28 or later and it stays 1.xx

here is the direct link to the motherboard bios
http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Support/Moth ... uctID=1722

i've install the driver for monitor and the latest driver for sis651,ie this one
SIS65x/740 (~16MB):
http://driver.sis.com/graphic/igp/uniVGA3/uvga3_373.zip

in the display - setting it has option with 1680x1050, but the monitor wont do it and changes back(1024x768) after i click apply buttom.

i know that there is vBIOS for GA-8SIMLH, i doubt it would work for different model.

i've also sent a message to CP, but havent got replied yet after 2days

if anyone would help me out here, much appreciated
