Need help with 1440x900 on a ms-7005 SIS-651c

I have an Acer AL1916W (19" wide screen monitor) that is supposed to give me a 1440x900 resolution, but does no more than 1280x1024.

My problem is of course that my VBIOS is too old, version 0.96.01, and my bios is current.
I cannot find a modded version on the download page, but I see some people in similar predicaments have found help here, so I was hoping you could help me solve my problem as well!

My mainboard is a MSI ms-7005 with a SIS-651c chipset. MSI Live Update 3 tells me I use bios version 6.10 dated 2004/09/17, which is the current one:
MSI Live Update 3.95.000 wrote:MS-7005 (651M-V)
Current Ver. 6.10
Online Ver. 6.10
Notes
1. This is Award BIOS release.
2. This BIOS fixes the following problem of the previous version:
- Enable Intel P4 CPU Auto Thermal monitor function.
- Support low speed CPU fan.
- Update CPU Microcode.
3. 2004/09/17

Your BIOS is the same or newer than what we provided. You do not have to update it.
Unfortunately, I never found how a link to this bios version. (MS-7005 v6.10)

In case info from bios agent will help:

1. I have installed the .inf file for my monitor
2. I have installed the latest SIS VGA driver

My problems still persist:

3. I have checked if there's a patched bios available on your download page.

Note: I made sure I properly identified my board, (Microstar ms-7005 ver 2) and I was unable to find a bios for that particular board on the download pages.

4. If it is really there, I might be going blind, but since I am still not able to find it, I am requesting one in the forum. (I've spent more than an hour looking for it, so a direct link would be useful if it's really there, but I suspect it is not)

Thanks for your patience...

Thank you. :)
I suspected it might be that one, but since the MSI tool informed me I had version 6.10, I thought 2.2 had to be wrong.

Now to try it out! ;)

it's the board release that is mentioned there, not the bios release

Ah, I see!

I have encountered an issue while trying to flash, however.

After having made a copy of the old bios, I get the error saying "The program file's part number does not match with your system." Having made sure twice more that I've got the bios you pointed me to, I tried with the /Py to ignore the check.

That produced an error that read:
CDR101: Not ready reading drive D

The system is running on ntsf, so I've been using an ME boot disk in order to be able to use the ramdrive when flashing.

Any idea what might be the problem here?

Here is my old bios, from the pre flash backup, if that's of any help.

PS: I might be straying over onto a subject that belongs in another forum, but I figured I started here, so it might be the most tidy to continue here.
