ouch!
would have been nice to have your bios saved somewhere. not only because the flasher said it's newer than the BIOS ASUS provided on their site. are you sure you pointed me to the correct bios for your machine?

what's the machine doing after power on? (besides resetting the cd-rom)
maybe it's booting but you can't see anything as the lcd isn't working anymore.

you can always flash the original bios from ASUS back into the chip. open the notebook, find the BIOS chip, remove it and hotflash it in another mainboard or an external flasher.

I have the old bios and flasher did say that its same version so it refused to flash it. it dont do much right now, i press it on and it just starts harddrive but then like dont doo anything at all.

That bios was right, i did use that bios to update my bios few days a go.
any idea what kind chip im looking for? it looks that there is nothing that i can take off? Im using my tv as LCD and it just say unknown signal??

can you upload the old bios somewhere and post a link?

can you connect a disk drive to the parallel port or usb port? is there any hint on emergency flashing in the manual of the notebook?

when you open up (million of tiny screws) the notebook you are looking for a square shaped (hopefully socketed) chip with approx. 1x1,5cm size.

Manual dosent say anything about emergency flashing. ill try to get that bios from harddrive and find someplace to but that online.

i think i can connect those but does those work that another thing :)

i think i did found that bios? it is that size but it dosent read bios or award? it has like W logo?? bad news that its not sockedet..

Lucky it was my old laptop so damage is not so serius..

just post the markings on the chip (and other chips you suspect to be the BIOS chip).

any electronic shop with smd equipment should be able to remove the chip, reprogram it and put it back where it belongs.
