first, many thanks for your high valuable work!
Here is my problem.
I own a new 1600x900 monitor (20") from HP (HP 2009V) and I tried unsuccessfuly to install it on my old PC.
I'm not able to reach the monitor's native resolution, but only lower ones.

Motherboard: A7SC
Bios strings found on start-up:
Award Medallion Bios 6.0
Asus A7SC ACPI Bios Revision 1009

I hosted a backup of my bios (extracted with Asus Update Tool) here:

I ask for a patched bios version, able to support 1600x900 monitors, because the one in download page is based on 1008 bios revision, and I suppose it's not suitable for my motherboard.

Any help?

Again thanks for your great work.
Awaiting for your reply, I installed the 1008 patched version (available in this site). My PC survived, with support for 1440x900 monitors but no for 1600x900.
I'll try the new version your created and report back shortly.
Just a question: on which VBios fw is based? The same as 1008 patched?

yes. 2.30.01 afair.

but no for 1600x900
a restriction of the Windows SIS driver since 1600x900 is not available as a modeline in the video bios. if you want full control use Linux with its excellent 3rd party SIS driver with free mode and resolution choice.

I installed the fw 1009 patched.
My PC survived again!
I have now connected a 1440x900 monitor (as the 1600x900 was not supported, I placed it at home), but with the new fw I loose 1440x900 resolution choice. Is it normal?
I'll try to connect in the next days the 1600x900 monitor, to see if it is now supported.
In the meanwhile a BIG thank to you.
