AGP Aperture

A friend of mine has an HP with an AMD Athlon 800, and wants to change his AGP aperture size. He can't seem to find it anywhere in his BIOS, and when he contacted HP, they said they had shadowed the BIOS, and this kept inexperienced users from messing up their BIOS settings. I told him that I thought shadowing BIOS was used to speed up the transfer rate, but that I would try to find out anything useful for him. If you have any ideas about why they might have said this, or where he could get at the size, that would be great.
Thanks,
Ben

I have a feeling that what HP meant by "shadowed", really meant "hidden", and not the concept of shadowing you're referring to.

Thats what I sort of figured, any ideas on how to get around it? Would it help if he could flash the BIOS with something other than what HP put on in order to get access?
Thanks
