i have vga card intel 740i and when i open windows

i have vga card intel 740i and i have motherboard lucytech p6ex3 and the bios to motherboard is version C and when i open windows 98 it is not open and stop afte step laod all driver what can i do please someone helpme

Can you start W98 in safe mode ? If so, can you change the adapter type to
manufacturer=(standard types)
model=Super VGA ?

i740 cards have had hardware compatibility problems (especially AGP), driver issues, some units even had (Siemens) RAM problems.

Are you sure you have the latest driver ?
Have you enabled IRQ for VGA in the BIOS ?

...but NickS, the compatibility problem was typically i740 + non-Intel chipset boards, wasn't it? I'm adding my own personal experience to this statement.

i need to add some information about my card intel 740 it is 8 m.b and i test it on another motherboard like gigabyte chipst via and it work correctly and i test ati vga card on my motherboard and it work correctly and i install the last virsion driver to my vga card and i enable irq to vga in bios please someone help me

i740 cards usually have flashable BIOS - check for update.

how i update the bios for vga?

i know how i update the bios for motherboard but how can i update the bios for vga and where can i find the file which is update the bios for vga and thank you for your care

Do what I did. Do a websearch for OEM manufacturers of i740 VGA cards... you'll find one offering BIOS updates. They're usually 100% compatible.
Try Sparkle, Gainward and Hightech (H8). I remember getting mine from one of the three.
