EliteGroup P6SET-ML board won't boot

I tried adding some more RAM, and ever since I get no life at all out of this MOBO - no beeps, no LED for the HDD, no display.
Checked out Elite's site and there is an old post from someone with the same problem - but no resolutions. Mailed the guy and he suggested 'wiggling the RAM around'. Yes, I did try it - No, it's ain't worked!
Anyone had this before, or have any furtehr sigegstions?

Try clearing CMOS.

I've done that!
Have also used other, tested RAM but with no success...

You've made sure you have memory in Slot 1 (nearest the processor ?)
As DenisS has pointed out before, CMOS clear jumpers don't always do the job and one of his tips is to remove the battery and short the battery holder contacts for a few seconds. Avoid touching the insulator between the two battery plates when doing this, of course.
Does the CPU fan spin at all when you plug the power cable into the PSU ?
Do you have access to a meter to check (carefully) for 3.3 V ?

Thanks for the suggestions so far - still fighting this one though.
Facts as it stands :
Fan comes on everytime.
HDD LED comes on for 20 seconds then goes off for good.
CD-ROM spins up at power up.
No beep codes heard at any point - speaker is connected though.
No display on monitor.
Leaving RAM out/swapping for known good sticks makes no difference.
Have two other PCs to test against, but both have VGA cards that go into a slot that the P6SET-ML doesn't have...
Have cleared CMOS traditional way (jumpers) & forum's suggestion (shorted battery).
Have tried good battery form other PC.
I have got a multimeter, but am unsure where I should test on the board - don't want to get this wrong....!
So - is this 'an interesting one' or is it as dead as one guy reckoned it was (and what does 'ESD' stand for?!)

There may be wrong BIOS flashed - use hot-flash to fix.
Or there is something bad on the board - sometimes 3.3V regulator or 1.5V (VTT for CPU) regulator or CPU VCORE regulator or something other.

Solved!
Thanks for your help with this - the answer actually came from a post on the Motherboard.org forum (is that linked to this one?) from 'Wudce'.
It was the CPU - I took it out and then reseated it and immediately the thing came back to life. Whether it was in connection with all the other work (resetting CMOS etc.) I'm unsure, but the main thing is it is back up and running!
