boot up freezes after bios shadowed and mouse init

I was installing SBC DSL and didn't follow the steps to run the CD first, then install the ethernet card. So, after taking the ethernet card out and trying to boot up to do the right way, I can't boot anymore. RAM gets checked okay, bios gets shadowed, mouse and keyboard are initiliazed, but then it freezes. Pressing F2 starts to go into Setup but then freezes too. Does this mean my BIOS is messed up?

Yes, I got off my lazy butt, dug up the manual and cleared the cmos. It worked! Thanks for your help!
