Need a BIOS upgrade?

Added a CDRW to PC with a Chaintech 6LTM motherboard now the floppy disk drive can't read disks and asks if I want to format every disk that I put in the floppy drive.
I have tried disconnecting the CDROM and replaced it with the CDRW and the results are the same. I have the floppy drive, 1 HD, 1 CDROM, and the CDRW.
BIOS information:
BIOS Type: Award Modular BIOS v4.51PG
BIOS ID: 11/03/97-i440LX-W977-2A69JC39C-00
OEM Sign-On: 11/03/1997
The only thing that I can think of that might correct the problem is to do a BIOS upgrade. The problem I have with that is, that Chaintech lists a 6LTM0 and a 6LTM2 motherboard. The label on my motherboard reads
6LTM M102. Which one do I choose???
Thanks for any suggesting or help.
