My Auslinx Tasmanian Devil 56es external's company stopped making the modems and supporting them because of breatching frequency laws.
Anyhow I want to flash it to support v92
It currently supports v90.
I dont know how to do this on my own; they even blocked emails.

You need to know which Rockwell (now Lucent) chipset. My PCI modem was not upgradable to V.92 - but I can't tell you now which chipset it was, because I sold it.
Take a look here.

an important not you should add to you page on the "tasmanian devil" AL-56ES external serial modem by Auslinx,

is that even though no winXP drivers are available full stop, and windows when it autodetects it cant find any drivers, it can be install and successfully used as "standard 56000bps modem", it also works in linux as is not "winmodem".

regards,

hayden.

hopefully this information can be got to people through service like your and prevent troubles and modems almost being discarded like mine... Razz
