I am having the same problem.
Want to have the resolution 1440x900.
I need to upgrade to the latest VBIOS.

Sorry I cannot find it. It seems that I have the 1008 bios, but the latest bios that is displayed is 1003.

I just got the patched bios. I didn't work out the first time, but after using uniflash everything was perfect!
I am now having the widescreen mode 1440X900!

Hi everybody!
I am having exactly the same problem, I got an ASUS Terminator K7 DDR which means my motherboard is an ASUS A7SC (unsupported since OEM) with a SiS 740 graphic card. My BIOS version is 1008 and as other people already pointed out, SiS website says I need a VBIOS 2.28 for widescreen (1440 x 900), but I cannot find any update on the internet. Can you share a patch for the BIOS? Thanks in advance!

Hi,
Boy, am I glad I found this forum. I have the Asus K7-DDR SiS graphics adapter can't cope with 1440x900 problem. I would be most grateful if someone can supply or point me in the direction of a BIOS patch that will enable it. I already have BIOS version 1008C but this still doesn't work.

I have the same problem - an Asus Terminator K7 DDR TriOptix with a SIS 740 chip. Current bios number is 1.11.15 which does not support widescreen. Any chance of a patch please? keithV

Thanks for sending me the patched BIOS as requested. used Awardflash - but I got "System was not new Award BIOS version! Please updata ROM BIOS first.! Checked my board spec and it is an ASUS A7SC ACPI BIOS Revision 1008 03/05/2003 - which I think is the latest ROM BIOS. Any thoughts on this?

Well what a dummy! Been away from DOS for so long forgot to enter the complete file name including the extension.
All sorted now. A big thankyou to CP - this is the only site that has a solution to the widescreen problem on ASUS Terminators with SIS BIOS.
What would we do without you.
