I want to set the "Memory Write and Invalidate Enable" bit on my A7N8X-X motherboard.

I'm having poor write performance with my 3ware raid controller. The issue is outlined here:

But it does not tell me how to permanently set the bit and of course ASUS is no help.

I would greatly appreciate some assistance with this. Read performance is around 100MB/s, but writes are 33MB/s!

I use a utility called WPCRSET to configure selected PCI registers automatically at bootup. I'm running Win98SE, so I can't tell you if it will work under any other OS.

You can use WPCREDIT to test any proposed changes before applying them with WPCRSET.
