I wonder if there's some decent BIOS for the PowerTech MB532 board.
This one is there
07/10/95-TRITON-2A59CP9HC-00 (Plug & Play BIOS 07-19-1995 Release)
I found this one in my archive 06/25/96-i430FX-2A59CP9HC-00 ((2a59cp9h) EVALUATION ROM - NOT FOR SALE) but it's still not decent (no CD-ROM booting etc.).

I'm aware that I recently suggested the MRBIOS consideration of ONE part number for 2 or more boards, but I just wonder how reliable this could actually be...

I don't have the board at home, so I will better keep it as is... If I could take the board home, I would try BIOSes for some other boards - maybe DTK has some board with the same Super I/O too.

Seeing Rainbow experimenting with all kinds of bioses on one of his boards, I think he'll know how to handle this. And there's always hotflash, right?

Installed Windows 95 OSR2 and there was PS/2 mouse with ! and two standard IDE/ESDI controllers in conflict with the PCI IDE... Flashed the 1996 BIOS, PS/2 mouse disappeared but the controllers are still there. I disabled them in Device Manager so I can enable the DMA...
BTW.: The board has big "MB532 ver. 1.0" printed on it, has UMC UM8663AF Super I/O, 4 PCI and 3 ISA slots.
There was cache in COAST slot - but I think that there was also some cache on the board - but I haven't examined it...

Rainbow, the I/O and chipset remind me of PCCHIPS 430FX boards.... why don't you give the M507 BIOS a go?

It's not my board - I installed Windows there and I will probably never see it again to try the PC Chips BIOS...

It's NOT GigaByte GA-586AT

It's completely different board.
"PCI Communication device" is usually modem inserted into PCI slot
