Anyone ever figured out how to slip in USB Boot support with CBROM for old motherboards?

I'm thinking along the lines of resurrecting old computers and have nothing in them but a thumb drive to boot a mini-os.

AFAIK not possible without hacking/modifying the core Bios files

I think you can forget any Award 4.x bioses, the hook for USB boot support just is not there.
