New HP DV5000 Sysytem PCB-How Can I Add Serial Number?

Recently the system board on my Hp DV5000 died. Well-ok-it had some help from a cup of hot chocolate.
I replaced the system board, but it has no serial or model number for it in the bios. When I look in the cmos, it does not show any model or serial number. Needless to say Windows insists on knowing the computer serial to activate.
Is there a way to serialize the bios in this new board?
