Computer failed to boot after updating bios

Hello,
I used the built in Bios Flash utility in the BIOS of my Asus P5B-VM motherboard to update to the latest bios (actually a BETA version), anticipating a possible purchase of a new CPU. The message to wait for the computer to reboot came, but after some minutes the computer never did reboot. I finally decided to turn the computer off. The first time I restarted the computer there was an error related to loading my grub multi bootloader. The second time I went into bios and it showed the new version number and everything seemed fine. I pressed <ESC> and the computer then booted normally. I have not had any problems booting, etc., in the past few days. Should I assume the update was complete or should I reflash the BIOS?
