BIOS Updates forum

Good day all.

I am looking for help and advice regarding making a new custom bios for my Tyan Thunder K8SD Pro (S2882-D) motherboard.

The above motherboard has a build in Silicon Image SteelVine Sil3114CTU SATA Raid Controller.

From what I have read is that the ROM used for the Sil3114 is part of the main system bios.

The current Sil3114 rom is v5.0.64, but I am having some issues and would like to try and update the rom to v5.0.73.

patching in the new SIL rom is possible.
just 2 more questions:
1. which kind of bios do you need? RAID or IDE? (check here for a description)
2. which version do you need? check the above link and report back with the version you want.
