:? I need a little help, my sister gave me a computer, Gateway GM5688E SN: XBG83 210 02339.
When I turn it on it does not boot unless I press F2 and than it goes to CMOS setup utility.
I press ESC than I hit enter and it states checking NVRAM, unknown bios error. Error code 8302, press F2 to resume and it boots up fine.
this is just a extra computer, I have spent 2 days trying to find out what's going on with no luck.

First of all, replace the CMOS battery with a new one CR2032 3V lithium coin cell.

There is a modified bios available out there (Gateway as usual is useless) but I first want to make sure it's not the easy simple fix.
