Flashing versus programming.

Hello,
I have to replace BIOS in my ECSK7S5 board. I have a programmer so I can program new chip by myself. Is the file used for flash utility the same format as a file used for programmer? Please advise.

The file used is a simple binary image. Most programmers can deal with this.
