Flash ROM 128K, .bin file 384K

Hi,
During the process of flash upgrading my Award BIOS, the program asked me if I wanted to save the existing one; I answered 'Yes'.
The old BIOS was saved as a 384K .bin file. My flash ROM is 1Mbit (128K).
The question that's in my mind -- and please forgive me if it sounds dumb to you -- is, "If I wanted to restore my old BIOS, how would 384K fit into a 128K chip?"
I need your expertise. Thank you.
