I attempted to flash my BIOS using: AMINF323.EXE 990305s.rom

I got this message: "Chipset/Flash part isn't available. The function will be invalid."

I restarted my computer, blank screen, no beeps.

I tried the reset jumpers. Still nothing after rebooting.

How do I at least get the original back?

Try holding Ctrl+Home when powering up, maybe it will read from floppy. If not, use hot-flash method to recover the BIOS (http://www.pppr.sk/rainbow/hardware/hotflash.html).

Depens on your Board - M571 or the special MR versions - and on your Board revision number located next to the keyboard connector

If you need help to identify your board correctly then hop over to the Pcchips Lottery

Blank Screen After Failed Flash [PC Chips - M571 v3.2A]

My Board revision number: 3.2A

Alot of people tell me 'Hot Flashing' is not an option. Is it very risky? And to what? The MoBo or the chip? I am assuming they say that because it doesn't work on all BIOS's. Just the one's discussed here.

It strikes my curiosity that the flash I D/L'ed from the PC Chips website (990305s.rom) is a ROM and the backup file of the BIOS I am trying to update came out BIN. Don't I want a BIN instead of a ROM? What is the difference betw/ a ROM and a BIN?

Hot-flashing is OK if you do it carefully.
There's no difference between BIN and ROM. They're both BIOS images, you can rename them as you want. AMI BIOSes have usually ROM extension and Award BIOSes BIN extension but it's not a rule.
