If anyone knows where I can get this bios update it would really be appreciated! I'm having trouble running Windows XP and I'm told it's probably my Bios settings. I ran the bios test wizard and the my ACPI is not found.

The OEM is: Holco (Shuttle)
BIOS ID is: 06/19/2000 - 693-596-W977-2A6LGH2AC-00
BIOS OEM Signon: (AV11S835) Via Apollo Pro PCISet
CHIPSET: VIA 82C691 rev 68
BIOS ROM Size: 256K
Super I/O Chip: Winbond 83977EF found at port 3F0h

If anyone can be of any assistance I would really, really appreciate it!!

Thanks!

Julie

There is no newer Bios abailable - you have to live/work with this bios

Have you installed the VIA 4in1 drivers 4.43 ? > www.viaarena.com

What's the problem with your board ?

No I haven't installed the VIA 4 in 1 drivers but maybe that is an option!

The problem I'm having with my computer is that I have installed Windows XP Pro and ever since I installed this operating system I can't shut down or restart my computer properly. When I click Turn Off Computer or Restart nothing happens. Windows just keeps running as normal and never shuts down or restarts. It doesn't freeze up or anything it just does nothing. I have also uninstalled and formatted my hard drive and reinstalled Windows XP Pro to make sure there wasn't a glitch there.
So I have been told by a couple of different people that the problem might be that my BIOS might not be up to date for Windows XP and to find an update for it.
Do you know of any other possibilities that could be causing the problem??
Thanks alot for all your help!

Julie
